Two Friday life-drawing sessions in December
Dec. 7 & 14.
Open to members and non-members.
Fridays 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Gestures for 1.5 hours followed by a 1.5-hour long pose.
◦ $15 per session, drop-in.

November 2018 Life-Drawing: Gestures and Pose
Friday life-drawing continues this Fall!
Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30
Open to members and non-members.
Fridays 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Gestures for 50 minutes followed by a 2-hour long pose.
◦ $60 for 5 sessions (Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30) prepaid, or
◦ $15 per session, drop-in.
Models will be clothed on Nov 2 and maybe Nov 9 as we have workmen doing a renovation in the studio space.

Italian Women Artists at the Columbus Centre

The Italian men's national “football” team may not have qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but the current exhibition of Italo-Canadian women artists is an unqualified success – a worthy redemption of pride in the sphere (pun intended) of Italian culture of the Canadian variety.
The opening reception of Viva Vitalita' Italia at the Joseph D. Carrier Gallery (at the Columbus Centre, Toronto) on June 5th highlighted excellence not only in the visual arts, but also in other aspects of culture: food (pasta, pizza, arrancini, salad) and wine; music (vocal and instrumental, including accordion and violin). This abundance of pleasure for the senses was courtesy of the many sponsors who contributed to this annual event for the launch of Italian Heritage Month (June) in Ontario. The event was organized by long-time cultural supporter Marcello Tarantino, resulting in an atmosphere that was lively, warm and convivial. In my experience, this was a typical Italian celebration.

Members’ Paintings at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre
The Forest Hill Art Club and the Beaches Guild of Fine Arts are exhibiting members' original works of art at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre.
Paintings are on display along the Main Corridor July 31 to September 7, 2018.
We invite you to come by for the pleasure of viewing some wonderful artwork.
The works are also for sale and a portion of the sale goes to the hospital for initiatives that benefit their patients. This is a great way to support the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre.
